As I look at our society and what we are all "into" now, social networking I wonder have we lost touch with how to really and truly communicate with each other on a person to person, face to face basis. I remember growing up as a child and having to go and knock on my friends door to see if they were home. Going outside to play double-dutch and freeze tag, now everybody has a cell phone and I never see the children in my neighborhood play any organized games, the most they'll do is ride their bikes. Even as a adults I remember my aunt and mom going over to their friends houses or vice versa and playing pokeno ( i think that's spelled correctly) and just sitting around having a good time. Now all we do is talk @ each other on things like twitter, facebook and myspace. Now don't get me wrong I love social networking , it has helped me get back in touch with people I haven't seen or talked to in years and is a convient way to stay up to date with family members that don't live close by. But I just wonder sometimes if we didn't have all these wonderful social networking sites would really be as connected and in tune with people? This is my first blog and i kinda just did it on a whim so don't be too harsh!
